Consultation

We provide consultation services, or specialized assistance for psychological aspects to work, to various organizations and corporations. This includes consultation work with schools and hospitals. We aim for our support and services to be individualized and specialized to the needs of each business or organization to whom we provide services.

Webinars, Seminars, and Training

We also offer webinars, seminars, and training for a variety of topics. These topics include, though are not limited to, stress management, coping skills, how to address ineffective behaviors in children, teens, and adults, interpersonal effectiveness, parenting strategies, improving communication, and dialectical behavioral therapy skills.

Please contact us for more information about the topics listed above or to find out if we provide training for a topic of interest not listed.

Parent Management Training

We run Parent Management Training (PMT) groups for parents of children across the lifespan. Coined "Parenting Boot Camp," our PMT group consists of 12 weekly group therapy sessions focused on teaching parents the most effective parenting strategies to address a range of child behavioral issues. Our PMT groups are engaging and hands on, using this evidence-based approach to help parents decrease their child's negative, acting out behaviors and increase positive, prosocial behaviors.

Parent Support Groups

Our practice offers various parent support groups. Currently, we offer a support group for parents of children with mental illness, including parents with adult children. Contact us today to see if there is a parent support group that might fit your needs.

Parenting Groups

DBT Skills Groups

We currently offer Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills groups for children, adolescents, and young adults. Our DBT skills groups generally range in size from 4-8 individuals who meet once weekly. Group members are taught DBT skills using a manualized treatment protocol. This includes the following modules for Adults and Children: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance. The Adolescent DBT skills group also includes an additional module, Walking the Middle Path, that teaches skills relevant to the parent-adolescent relationship.

DBT Graduate Groups

After completing our DBT skills training group, individuals have the opportunity to participate in our DBT Graduate group. The DBT Graduate group meets on a weekly basis and focuses on the practice and generalization of skills learned in the DBT skills group. The group also helps individuals to trouble-shoot difficulties with the application of DBT skills in the real world.

Social Skills Groups

We also run social skills groups for elementary and middle school-aged children. Our social skills groups aim to teach children and adolescents social skills that can promote not only making but also maintaining meaningful relationships. Navigating social relationships is no easy task. Our groups focus on teaching a variety of social skills (i.e., reading nonverbal social cues, active listening, dealing with cliques, social networking and social media, and self-awareness) in a supportive and fun environment.

Support Groups

We run various support groups throughout the year. Our groups focus on skill development, empowerment, and finding a sense of community. Support groups focus on a range of topics, including LGBT, transgender identity, survivors of suicide, BPD, sleeping disorders, and grief. Please inquire to see if we are currently running a support group that fits your current interests and needs.
